Tope Dare is one the principal drivers of the Digital Business and Strategy practice of Inlaks.
He currently oversees the development and implementation of the Digital Transformation Strategy of the Infrastructure and e-Banking Business Division of Inlaks while also serving as the Director for Sales and Strategy to achieve an annual divisional revenue objective of more than $30m.
He oversees the sales, services (technical support), software development and R&D of the Business Unit with a workforce of more than two hundred (200). His vast competencies and proficiency in sales and services have been a game changer in the organisation’s financial and people performance matrix. He enjoys identifying, defining and solving key business challenges and needs in the digital space. Tope leads the regional and global partnerships required to implement the digital strategic initiatives of the organisation.
Prior to his appointment as an Executive Director at Inlaks, he was the Sales & Marketing Manager at NCR; the American global leader in the vast self-service industries, where he was responsible for all direct and indirect sales of NCR’s solution portfolios in Nigeria between June 2010 and December, 2012. At NCR, Tope remarkably sold 2,800 ATMs worth more than $45m to grow NCR’ local market share by 11% and increased NCR’s ATM wallet share in the Financial Services Industry by 30% within same period.
An experienced and skilled IT resource person in the banking sector having worked for eleven (11) years between 1999 and 2010 in the Nigerian Financial Industry. Between 2000 and 2010 at Oceanic Bank (now EcoBank Group), he has a proven track record of successfully designing, implementing and managing simple to complex IT projects while leading cross-functional large teams of both technical and operations in the Information Technology Division of the bank.
Tope has a First degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and Action Learning MBA at Business School Netherlands with a distinction in his final dissertation. He is an alumnus of the Executive Development Programme (EDP) at Wharton Business, University of Pennsylvania, USA. Tope is a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified e-Business Consultant (CEC), Postilion Certified, Certified ITIL professional, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP and Certified Wincor-Nixdorf ATM Engineer. He has had several offshore training exposures on ATMs, e-payments and FinTech.
A world-class Conference Speaker at many local and global fora with exposures in the global ATM & Payment industry. He is the founder and global coordinator of ATM community, an online forum for ATM collaborative experience amongst stakeholders worldwide. Tope is also an Advisory Board member of AITEC Banking & Mobile Money, West Africa and an Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Committee Member of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
Tope is a lifelong learner and recently completed the Fintech certificate course at the Said Business School, University of Oxford and a certificate course in Leading Digital Transformation and Innovation from INSEAD.
